Rez and Tell

Inspired by Paper Dollz that is!  In my latest paw through the fashionfeedofsl website I came across a new blog, Paper Dollz.  Over at Paper Dollz they recreate looks, using inventory they already have mostly, inspired by looks from Polyvore.com.  Great idea right?  I couldn’t help myself, I wanted to give it a shot.

So, that’s the look I was inspired by.  Nice and beachy right?  Ya know, this Polyvore thing is cool, maybe I’ll have to try doing some looks on it.  For now though, follow the jump to check out my take. Jump Jump

Recently Gogo posted a Newbie Style Challenge on her blog, Juicy Bomb.  The full rules are on her blog, but the biggest bits I had to remember were not to go over $20L, and no begging for freebies from designer friends.  Otherwise, it was fair game; from hunts to gifts to freebies to dollarbies.  Here’s what I’ve come up with, hope everyone likes it!

Don’t you just hate when you’re in a funk?  When it seems like you can’t even think clearly much less have creative and cool ideas.  Yeah, me too.  So this time I reached out to my buds on social networking to give me something to blog about.  I went to Plurk and asked the people there to give me a clothing idea, then I went to Facebook and asked them to give me a color idea.  The fabulous Dinalya Dawes assigned me a beach party look, and I quote “the outfit you wear to a late night beach party, cuz you aren’t gonna swim.”  Got it, now the color, Jimbo The Cart-Boy(insert sticking tongue out smiley here.) picked electric blue, which he clarified to be the color of the Carolina Panthers.  Oh man, this is going to be a cake walk!

So back in February Chalice Carling issued an ‘Always the Bride, never the Bridesmaid‘ challenge. Which actually I have been a bridesmaid more times in SL than I have been a bride, and I’ve been BOTH more times in SL than in RL (Answer: 0 times in RL for both. I was a flower girl though.)

The premise of the challenge is to create TWO bridal looks, a church bride, and a beach bride, using things already in your inventory, but NO WEDDING DRESSES. Sounds like fun right? I thought so too, especially since I only own one wedding dress in SL and it’s one I made myself. So I delved into my inventory and here’s what I came up with.

So there’s a blogger challenge going around, it was started apparently by Samara Barzane, and asks bloggers to share the three things in their SL inventory they can’t live without.  So I’m joining in with my three things.

1, 2, 3....

1. My Best Friend – Noah Chapman, he’s awesome.  He’s my best friend. We’ve known each other most of my SLife, and he gets me!  Some people say people of the opposite sex can’t be good friends (unless one of them is gay) but that is SO wrong.  Having a guy as a best friend is great, he helps me keep my head on straight, and if I’m having teh dramas he can help fix it.  I really don’t even know what else to say, so let me quote my Picks.

Okay, so. Noah. is Noah. He’s amazing. He’s a lot like me, which makes our conversations amazing because we’re on the same wavelength. But, he’s also a dork. I never hesitate to remind him of this fact. But, I love him for his dorkiness. He’s going to do great things.

I feel like he’s a missing piece of the puzzle that is me, and I’m glad to have found him. He is honestly one of my best friends ever, and I hope it stays that way forever.

I’m incredibly proud of him, on so many levels.

2. Mystitool – A jack of all trades HUD.  Posing, Rezzing, Tables, Radar, Funny Toys… Oh how could I ever try to live without it??
